RxByState provides regulatory and administrative pharmacy law data for informational purposes only. It is not a legal service and does not constitute legal advice. Always verify requirements directly with the relevant state board of pharmacy before taking action.
RxByState is a research and data platform. We track pharmacy law requirements, continuing education mandates, renewal windows, controlled substance schedule variances, dispensing authority, and regulatory alerts across all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. We are not attorneys, and nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, regulatory advice, or a legal opinion of any kind.
RxByState is not a clinical platform. We do not provide clinical advice, medication guidance, dosing recommendations, prescribing support, patient care guidance, drug interaction checking, or formulary information of any kind. We do not process patient data or protected health information (PHI). RxByState is not intended for use in emergency situations. If you or anyone else is experiencing a medical emergency, dial 911 immediately.
Use of RxByState does not create any pharmacist–patient relationship, attorney–client relationship, compliance consulting relationship, fiduciary relationship, or any other professional relationship between RxByState and any user.
For compliance decisions with regulatory consequences — license renewals, CE filings, controlled substance registration, or board submissions — verify the specific requirement directly with your state board of pharmacy before proceeding.
By accessing or using RxByState (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and organizations. RxByState reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For pricing changes, we will provide 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
The Service is intended for licensed pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy managers, and pharmacy organizations. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and are using the Service for professional purposes. The Service is not intended for patients, consumers, or minors.
RxByState makes a commercially reasonable, good-faith effort to reflect current pharmacy law requirements. However, state board websites change without notice, rulemaking timelines shift, and individual board interpretations may vary. Data should be used as a starting point for compliance research, not as a final authority. RxByState expressly disclaims all liability arising from any action or inaction taken in reliance on information provided through the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@rxbystate.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You agree not to: (a) violate any applicable law; (b) impersonate any person or entity; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (d) attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service; (e) scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data without express written permission; (f) reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
Access to the Service requires a paid subscription after any applicable free trial. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All fees are in US dollars and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Free trials are available to new accounts only and do not require a credit card. RxByState reserves the right to modify trial length and eligibility at any time.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until the end of the period for which you have paid.
Practice and Practice+ plans allow multiple team members within a single organization. License compliance data entered by individual team members is private to that member and is not shared with the account owner or other team members. The account owner may see member names, roles, and active/inactive status only.
RxByState may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or suspected fraudulent activity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — shall survive.
RxByState reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. RxByState shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
Class action waiver: You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against RxByState. All claims must be brought on an individual basis.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RxByState with respect to the Service and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. RxByState's failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
All data in RxByState is sourced from official publications:
Every regulatory alert and requirement change published on RxByState is reviewed by the RxByState research team before publication. We do not publish unverified or automatically-generated alerts without human editorial review. AI-assisted research tools are used to identify potential changes; all findings are reviewed and approved by a human editor before going live.
State pharmacy requirement data is verified semi-annually and updated when rules change. Regulatory alerts are published as rules change, typically within 24–72 hours of a board publication. Every data point displays a verification date so you can see when it was last confirmed.
